Olde Tyme Christmas is set for Friday and Saturday in Vandalia.
City of Vandalia Economic Development Director and Tourism Director Amber Daulbaugh says they have put a lot of effort into making this year’s event a great one.
And, Daulbaugh says she knows this weekend can be a huge economic boost to Vandalia businesses.
Activities will kick off on Friday with the lighting of the City’s Christmas Tree and then the Rotary Lighted Parade at 5:30 pm. As for some additional events, Daulbaugh says there’s also going to be photo opportunities with vintage vehicles–one by the caboose at the corner of 6th & Gallatin and the other at the corner of 3rd & Gallatin. There will also be vendor craft fairs in the former Family Video building and in the First United Methodist Church Barn. We will talk more with Daulbaugh coming up tomorrow.
