(ogle Co., IL) — An Ogle County woman is pleading guilty to killing her seven-year-old son. Sarah Safranek entered a guilty plea to first-degree murder yesterday. Authorities say Safranek suffocated her son, Nathaniel Burton, in their Oregon home in 2021. She previously pleaded guilty to the crime last year, but she withdrew her plea before sentencing.
