A large crowd gathered Monday night as Sarah Bush Lincoln Fayette County Hospital held a grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony for its new Medical Center. Services have been able to move into the building and patients have begun to be seen in the center that was built adjacent to the existing building. Karen Dyer, CEO of Sarah Bush Lincoln Fayette County Hospital, says they are of course very excited to open the new building and share it with the community.
With many services such as the walk in clinic and physical therapy services not located at the hospital in the past, but instead at different buildings in town which have now been situated in one place, Dyer says the new medical center is more patient friendly.
With the expanded space as they continue to complete the building’s upper floors, Dyer says they will be able to offer more services. And we will hear from Dyer about that tomorrow.
