(Undated) — Federal health officials are investigating a multi-state outbreak of infant botulism linked to ByHeart Whole Nutrition Infant Formula. The outbreak includes 13 confirmed hospitalizations across ten states, including two cases in Illinois. The recall covers two lots marked “use by December 1st 2026.” Both the FDA and CDC are working to identify the contamination source and any other affected products. No deaths have been reported, but officials warn that symptoms of infant botulism may take weeks to develop.
