It was the First Anniversary of the downtown Vandalia Veteran’s Memorial Park, and it was well represented with a ceremony and then a Veteran’s Day parade through downtown Vandalia on Saturday.
During the program, Post 95 Commander Bruce Braswell spoke about the history and meaning of Veteran’s Day.
Vandalia Mayor Doug Knebel talked about the Veteran’s Memorial Park and that continued improvements will be happening there.
State Representative Blaine Wilhour talked about the need to honor our Veteran’s Day.
Veteran’s Day is officially tomorrow, November 11th, throughout the United States.
