(Springfield, IL) — Governor Pritzker is bolstering food assistance in Illinois. Pritzker signed executive order to direct 20 million dollars towards food banks. The order also launches a statewide strategy to respond to the Trump Administration halting SNAP funding benefits for nearly two million Illinoisans beginning tomorrow and mitigate the impacts of the Trump spending bill, which reduces food assistance.
