Gateway Regional Water Co. has released the following notice for its water customers in the I70 Media areas affected that are listed below.
Beginning November 10, 2025 Gateway Regional Water Co. will begin a modified disinfection process using Free Chlorine instead of Chloramines for our predominant water disinfectant. Beginning December 22, 2025 Gateway Regional Water Co. will switch back from Free Chlorine residual to our normal Chloramines’ residual for our predominant water disinfectant. Customers with health issues should contact their physicians with any health related questions.
Customers on Gateway Regional Water Company are: Village of Alma; Clay County Water; Village of Farina; Fayette Water Company; City of Flora; FMC Water Co.; Village of Iuka; City of Kinmundy; NEMC Water Co.; Village of Patoka; Raccoon Water Co.; Village of Vernon; Western Wayne Water Co.; and Village of Xenia.
