
Vandalia Mayor Doug Knebel says he is closely watching the budget as we near the half-way point of the current fiscal year.
Speaking on our podcast, “Talking about Vandalia,” Mayor Doug Knebel says there are a few different reasons to watch the budget numbers closely right now.
And, Mayor Knebel reminds just how important strong sales tax numbers are for the City of Vandalia.
Through five months of numbers reported, the general sales tax revenues are up for the City of Vandalia. So far in 5 month, the general sales tax revenues are at $1,031,158. That is up at this point from last year. The highest single year of general sales tax revenues for the City of Vandalia was last fiscal year–putting this year on pace to potentially set a new record.
