(Springfield, IL) — The trial of Sean Grayson is entering its second week. The former Sangamon County Sheriff’s deputy is charged with murder in the shooting death of Sonya Massey inside her home in July 2024. The first week of testimony concluded Friday when a law professor told jurors that Grayson’s actions were “tactically unsound” and inconsistent with accepted police practices.
