There are several Halloween events on tap over the next couple of days in Vandalia and at Vandalia Lake.
This evening from 5 pm to 8 pm will be Trick or Treat at Vandalia Lake Campgrounds. Those out at the campground are asked to decorate their camper or for others to potentially bring a group out to Vandalia Lake Campground for trunk or treat tonight.
The Downtown Vandalia Trick or Treat will be on Saturday (tomorrow). Story time at Evans Public Library will be at 10 am on Saturday morning with downtown Trick or Treat being from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Then, the Halloween Costume Contest will be held at Charter’s Patio at 12:30 pm on Saturday. The age groups will be 0 to 4 years, 5 to 8 and 9 to 13.
There will be several trunk or treats around the area on Saturday, including:
Family YMCA from 4 pm to 6 pm, Vandalia Moose Lodge 4 pm to 6 pm, and others throughout the area. The City of Vandalia city-wide Trick or Treat will be from 6 pm to 8 pm on Saturday evening.
