(Springfield, IL) — Testimony resumes today in the trial of Sean Grayson. The former Sangamon County Sheriff’s deputy is charged with murder in the shooting death of Sonya Massey inside her home in July 2024. A Sangamon County forensic pathologist testified yesterday that Massey could have survived if she had been provided medical treatment sooner. Another witness described as an expert in police policy and police training said Grayson’s actions were “contrary” to policies.
