A Vandalia woman is facing multiple counts, including 3 Felony counts, in Fayette County Court.
28 year old Chelsea N. Kozak of Vandalia is charged with Aggravated Battery to a Peace Officer. Information on the charge says Kozak is alleged to have kicked a Vandalia Police Officer in the chest and stomach. Kozak is also charged with Criminal Damage to Property for allegedly damaging a glass sliding door at a residence in Vandalia and she is also charged with Criminal Trespass to Residence with Person Present for allegedly entering that same residence. Both charges are Class 4 Felonies. Kozak is also charged with Resisting a Peace Officer and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, both of which are Class A Misdemeanor charges.
In Fayette County Court, Kozak was released on pre-trial conditions. She is to have no contact with the Vandalia homeowner and no contact with the property and is on electronic home confinement. Kozak will next appear in Fayette County Court with counsel on November 19th.
