Altamont and St. Elmo-Brownstown are both into the semifinals of the National Trail Conference Volleyball Tournament while CHBC and South Central are into the Consolation bracket with Dieterich being eliminated from tournament play after the first night of action on Thursday. In the play-in games, CHBC picked up a three set win over Dieterich 25-18, 13-25, 25-22 to move into the quarterfinal round while the Maroons dropped into the extra game where they fell to North Clay in two sets 17-25, 16-25. In the quarterfinals, Altamont beat South Central in three sets 27-25, 21-25, 25-22; SEB beat Cumberland in two sets 25-21, 25-21 and CHBC fell to St. Anthony in two sets 12-25, 9-25. For tonight at the tournament, Altamont will take on St. Anthony in the first championship semifinal match at 6:00pm while SEB will face Windsor/Stew-Stras in the second championship match at 7:00pm with the winners of each match advancing to the Championship game on Saturday at 1:00pm while the two losing teams will go the Third Place match on Saturday at 1:00pm. On the consolation side of the bracket, South Central and CHBC will square off at 5:00pm tonight with the winner going to the Fifth place match at 11:00am on Saturday.
