(Springfield, IL) — Officials are working to extract DNA from a human skull found by kids playing in an Illinois creek. The grisly discovery was made last month, on September 20th, in the Lake Pointe Subdivision in Springfield. The County Coroner, Jim Allmon, collected the remains from the 62-hundred block of Winterberry Lane. The skull is now in possession of the Illinois State Police forensic team.
