Clarence Meier, 72, of Altamont died at 12:55 p.m., on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at home.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont with Rev. Gary Fortkamp and Rev. Scott Niermann officiating. Burial will follow at Arborcrest Memorial Park, Effingham. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
Clarence was born on Monday, June 22, 1953 in Vandalia to Lewis and Marie (Kane) Meier. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Altamont and retired from Petty’s Printing, Effingham.
He is survived by; his son, Cory (Jeanne) Meier, Altamont; daughter, Kimberly (Romeo) Youssef, Oviedo, FL; sister, Luann Cassiday, Ashmore; and 7 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by; his parents; brother, Keith Meier; and brother-in-law, Dale Cassiday.
