Illinois lawmakers are expected to consider legislation to address high energy prices during the upcoming fall veto session.
The state legislature is scheduled to meet this Tuesday through Thursday and Oct. 28-30.
Gov. J.B. Pritzker blamed high energy prices on President Donald Trump removing taxpayer subsidies for solar and wind. He also blamed regional grid operators PJM and MISO.
State Sen. Willie Preston said another line item on a utility bill could crush working-class people.
