A man is facing a Felony charge of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and also a charge of Aggravated Assault in Fayette County Court.
52 year old Lyle D. Winter facing a charge of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm without Requisite Firearm Owner’s ID Card when Eligible, which is a Class 3 Felony. Information on the charge says that Winter is alleged to have possessed a 9mm handgun when he was allegedly not eligible to have Firearm Owner’s Identification Card in the State of Illinois.
Winter is also charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, which is a Class A Misdemeanor. Information on the charge says that Winter is alleged to have become verbally aggressive with an individual and showed that individual a gun.
Winter appeared in Fayette County Court and was released subject to standard conditions, including no contact with alleged victim. Winter was also ordered to surrender firearms within 48 hours. He will next appear in Fayette County Court on November 12th.
