There was a vehicle vs. scooter accident in Vandalia on Thursday evening, but it appears there were no serious injuries.
Vandalia Police Department reports at about 7:26 pm, a Vandalia Police Officer responded to a collision involving a vehicle and a scooter at the intersection of Orchard Street and North 7th Street. Upon arrival, the Officer says he found a male juvenile lying on the ground, was conscious and reported pain in the left left. Emergency personnel arrived on the scene and began providing care. The juvenile was later transported to the hospital for further evaluation. The Vandalia Police Officer says in his report that he later went to the hospital to check on the juvenile’s condition and learned there were no broken bones.
