A Vandalia man is facing a Felony charge of Domestic Battery in Fayette County Court.
36 year old Christopher S. Fields has been charged with Domestic Battery, which is a Class 4 Felony. Information says that Field is alleged to have pushed a family or household member. And, the charge also says that Fields has a prior conviction for Domestic Battery in Fayette County from 2019. Fields is also charged with Resisting a Peace Officer, which is a Class A Misdemeanor. Information on the charge says the Fields allegedly refused to obey orders from the Police Officer.
In Fayette County Court this week, the court found probable cause for pre-trial detention for Fields, so he will remain in the Fayette County Jail. A status hearing is set in his case for October 15th. As of this time, a Jury Trial is set in the matter in November.
