Multiple topics were discussed at the October meeting of the St. Elmo City Council.
The first item discussed was the approval of a new mini-split from K&D Heating and Air for the City Garage, at $ 5,205. The City also approved a bid from Eby Graphics for the detailing of police vehicles, not to exceed $ 3,000, and approved the purchase of six phones, three for the police department and three for City Hall, from Philpot Electronics for $ 2,034.32. The final items the St. Elmo City CouncilĀ approved on was a TIF agreement between the City of St. Elmo and The Rifinerry for a $15,000 forgivable loan up to five years, and a $10,000 forgivable loan for up to five years with Feezel Properties LLC.
As for the St. Elmo Police Department, during September the St. Elmo PD responded to 62 calls for service, had 17 officer-initiated activities, had 4 agency assists, 18 building checks, 17 traffic stops, 17 warnings issued, made 2 arrests, and had 1 code enforcement warning issued.
