The Brownstown/St. Elmo Bombers got on the board first, and never looked back, getting a 2-1 Victory over the Odin/Patoka/Sandoval Eagles on Thursday at Greenville University. The Bombers got on the board in the bottom of the first after Calvin Voelker and Jayce Gillespie reached on a pair of hits. One batter later, Voelker would come home on a single from Logan Lach to give BSE a 1-0 lead. That score would hold until the bottom of the second when a pair of hit by pitches and a walk would load the bases for Zayden Gillespie, who would single to score Dodge Willms to make it a 2-0 lead. OPS would get on the board on an error, in the top of the fifth inning, and would put the tying run on third with one out, but Jayce Gillespie would retire the next two batters to secure BSE with the 2-1 win. The win improves the Bombers to 5-10 on the season. They will be at home on Monday to take on CHBC.
