(Mercer Co., IL) — The superintendent and two district employees of Mercer County Schools are accused of illegally accessing student medical records. Authorities say police executed a search warrant at Mercer County High School in Aledo and the Mercer County School District Unit 404 office in Joy. As a result of the investigation, district employees Amberly Norton and Andrea Long, and Superintendent Timothy Farquer were arrested. All three face charges of unauthorized access to medical records, computer tampering and official misconduct. They are being held at the Mercer County Jail.
