(Chicago, IL) — The Illinois Department of Public Health is issuing its own guidelines for flu and COVID-19 vaccines. The flu shot is recommended for anyone six months and older in the state. The IDPH is also recommending the COVID vaccine for adults ages 18 and older, as well as children between the ages of six and 23 months. That goes against guidance issued last week by the CDC, which declined to recommend the vaccine for anyone.
