(Savanna, IL) — A judge will decide today whether a man charged in an officer-involved shooting in Savanna in June is fit to stand trial. Authorities say officers located a suspected stolen vehicle being driven by Mark Feltmeyer near Savanna during the early morning hours of June 26th. Officers chased the vehicle before Feltmeyer came to a stop near the intersection of Webster and Main Street. He was shot by officers trying to arrest him. The pursuit continued but ended near Chicago Avenue and Gilbert Street. Feltmeyer faces multiple charges. If the judge finds him unfit, his trial will be suspended and he will receive treatment.
