Fire Chiefs of Fayette County requesting everyone refrain from burning due to extremely dry conditions

Due to extremely dry conditions, the fire chiefs of Fayette County and the City of Vandalia are requesting that all residents of Fayette County and the City of Vandalia refrain from any and all voluntary burning until further notice.  This includes items such as yard waste, leaves, brush, trash, ag fields and set asides.  Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
