Bryce Bohnoff tossed three scoreless innings and Jackson Icenogle tossed two scoreless innings as the pair combined for a no-hitter as Dieterich shut out Ramsey/Mulberry Grove, 11-0, on Thursday. The Maroons took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, scoring on a passed ball. That lead held until the third inning when Dieterich would bust the game open with eight runs in the inning, using five hits and taking advantage of a pair of walks and a hit by pitch to push their lead to 9-0. The Rams put their first two batters of the fourth inning on base by drawing a pair of walks, but that threat would be extinguished by three straight strikeouts as the Rams continued to trail 9-0. A 2-RBI single by Ben Schottman in the bottom of the fourth inning extended the Maroons lead to 11-0 over R/MG as they would close out the win after the Rams went three up, three down in the top of the fifth inning. Andrew Hall led the Maroons offensively in the game, going 3-3 at the plate with a RBI. Dieterich starts their season off at 1-0 and will be back at it today for their first road game of the season at Neoga. For Ramsey/Mulberry Grove, they start the season at 0-2 and will be off until August 29 when they play at Odin/Patoka/Sandoval.
