Brownstown-St. Elmo baseball opened up their 2025 fall season with a big win shutting out Webber, 14-0, on Thursday. The Bombers put up four runs in the opening inning as Keelan Speagle led off with a triple and scored on double by Jayce Gillespie for a 1-0 lead. A single from Nolan Wilhour scored Gillespie and Sullivan Smith who was courtesy running for pitcher Dodge Willms for a 3-0 BSE lead. A Webber balk allowed Wilhour to come in to make it 4-0 Bombers heading into the second inning. A three run second inning with two runs brought in on a double by Wilhour had the Bombers up 7-0 at the end of the second inning and another BSE run in the third inning made it 8-0. With two outs in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Bombers put the game away with six more runs, four coming in on a triple by Jayce Gillespie who then scores on an error to cap the game off at 14-0. BSE starts the season at 1-0 and they will be back at home on Monday when they take on Odin/Patoka/Sandoval.
