Vandalia City Council approves purchase of new VPD Squad Cars, Approves bids for demolition

The Vandalia Police Department will soon be adding two new vehicles to their fleet.

At this past week’s Vandalia City Council meeting, the council approved the purchase of new squad cars for the Vandalia Police Department. Both are 2024 Dodge Durangos at a cost of $44,612 each and are being purchased from Hosick Motors.

Demolition bids were accepted for new projects at this past week’s Vandalia City Council meeting. The City approved the low bid of $12,800 from Grubaugh Contracting for the demolitions at 309 and 319 North 4^th Streets.
