(Springfield, IL) — Governor Pritzker isn’t ruling out a 2028 presidential run. Pritzker was asked about a potential run while appearing on NBC’s “Meet the Press” with Kristen Welker.
The governor also responded to a question about whether he was being hypocritical for criticizing Texas’ redistricting plan when the vast majority of Illinois’ congressional districts are Democratic. Pritzker said they held public and legislative hearings before a map was passed at the end of the census, while Texas Republicans are changing the rules mid-decade “at the behest of the president of the United States.”
