The start of the 2025-26 school year is now less than 2 weeks away. And, two annual programs that help Fayette County students get ready for school are set to take place next week.
One of those programs is the Backpack 2 School program, which is coming up on Wednesday from 4 pm to 6 pm at the First United Methodist Church Family Center at 4th & Main Streets in Vandalia. Gail DePaolo gives some of the details.
And, she also says there will be more than just backpacks at the event.
Meanwhile, Backpack 2 School ties into another event, Tools for School, that provides free school supplies to Fayette County Students and that will also be next week. And, we’ll talk more about that coming up on Monday.
