In their latest weather briefing, the National Weather Service in St. Louis says dangerous heat and humidity begins to break starting today and ends areawide this evening. Strong to severe thunderstorms this afternoon/evening may result in damaging winds, locally heavy rainfall, and flooding. The most probable time for any storms for our area would be beginning between 6 pm and 8 pm this evening and exiting the area between 10 pm and midnight tonight.
