The Illinois State Police handled a crash involving a tractor-trailer and passenger car on Interstate 70 in Fayette County on Wednesday.
Reports from the Illinois State Police say they received the call at 11:20 am on Wednesday of the accident on Interstate 70 eastbound at milepost 57. State Police reports say that ISP Troop 9 responded to the location for the report of a two-unit, personal injury traffic crash involving a tractor-trailer and passenger car. One person was airlifted from the scene to a regional hospital. State Police add that eastbound lanes were temporarily closed and later re-opened. State Police adds there is no further information at this time.
