From Southwestern Electric Cooperative—-
Close to 800 Southwestern Electric members in Fayette County — more than 430 served by the Shafter Substation northwest of Vandalia, and around 350 served by the Ramsey Substation — are without power this evening after storms rolled through the area. The Ramsey Substation outage appears to be the result of a downed tree, while the Shafter Substation outage is due to a broken pole. Crews have been dispatched to begin repair efforts, but no estimated time of restoration is currently available.
