Pritzker touted what Illinois has accomplished under his leadership.
The Democrat is the first incumbent governor to seek a third term since Republican James Thompson, who went on to serve four terms. It comes as there’s reports that Pritzker could make a run for President in 2028. Illinois doesn’t have term limits for statewide offices.
