
Last week at the Vandalia City Council meeting, there was a lot of talk about the option of going with the electrical aggregate company. And, in two stories we produced last week, there was more information on the matter and what your options are. During last week’s podcast, “Talking about Vandalia,” Mayor Doug Knebel says the purpose of having the talk at city council was just to give everyone more information on their options.
It breaks down as this–the aggregate company will look to lock in a reduced rate for a long period of time–potentially up to two years. Ameren will make frequent changes with their rates. For citizens that receive the letter, you would need to “Opt Out” to leave the aggregate and go with Ameren.
