
We start off the day with fog around the area.
A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for the area until 9 am. After that, we will see gradually clearing skies for today with a high of 86. Then, we have a smaller chance of showers and storms late tonight with a low of 71.
Meanwhile, severe weather looks to be on the way to the area on Wednesday. In their latest Weather Briefing, the National Weather Service in St. Louis says a cold front will drop through the area on Wednesday with the best time for severe thunderstorms to be between 2 pm and midnight on Wednesday. The NWS says when the cold front interacts with the favorable environment, severe thunderstorms are likely. Damaging winds are likely the main threat with severe thunderstorms but large hail and tornadoes are also possible.
