
The FNB Community Bank recently announced the addition of Sam Knebel as Commercial Loan Officer.
Knebel is a 2019 graduate of Greenville High School. Sam continued his academic career at SIUE earning his Bachelor’s Degree in accounting in 2022, and then a Master’s in accounting in 2023. While Sam was completing his Master’s Degree, he also started his professional career as a Credit Analyst and Staff Accountant at Bradford National Bank in 2022.
“I am truly grateful for the opportunity to work for The FNB Community Bank and be a part of their Commercial Lending team. I am looking forward to building relationships not only with my new co-workers, but with the current and future customers of The FNB Community Bank. I am also looking forward to working for a true community bank that does so much to give back to the cities it serves,” stated Knebel.
After 3 years at Bradford, Sam decided to make a change in his career path, and now is a Commercial Loan Officer. With his background in analytics, it makes him a perfect fit to fulfil FNB’s customers financial needs. When he is not at work, Sam can be found on the golf course playing in a local scramble of for the Bank’s league team. He also enjoys bowling and watching football on the weekends.
In talking about Knebel’s recent hiring, Joe Schaal, Senior Lending Officer and Vice President stated “I am excited to welcome Sam into this lending position. Sam brings a strong foundation in commercial banking and credit analysis, having most recently worked at Bradford Bank. In this newly elevated role, Sam will be responsible for helping grow the bank’s commercial and agricultural portfolio. With an educational background in accounting, Sam brings a strong analytical foundation and a deep understanding of business clients’ financial needs. This appointment reflects FNB’s continued investment in our team and future growth allowing FNB to strengthen our position as the premier commercial lending bank in the region.”
