Fayette County has a new EMA Director

Fayette County has a new Emergency Management Agency Director.

At their meeting on Tuesday night, the Fayette County Board approved the hiring of Ryan Scott as the new EMA Director–pending a cross Union letter.  Scott is a full time dispatcher for the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and will add on the part-time EMA Director duties.  Scott talks about why he was interested in the position.

Scott is originally from St. Elmo and has past experience in dispatch work and law enforcement work.  Scott takes over after Rachel Denning left the position earlier this spring.
