Vandalia Police Department will look at purchasing a thermal drone, looking into the possibility of adding K9 to force

Meanwhile, the City of Vandalia Police Department did add a couple of things to their budget for the next fiscal year.

Vandalia Police Chief Jeff Ray says they have funding for potentially getting a K9 dog to add to the force.  He says he wanted to make sure they were ready for that if they do move forward.

And, Chief Ray says they would to add a drone.

As Chief Ray mentioned, the drone would have many benefits for the department.
