City of Vandalia has their FY ’26 Budget in place, appropriations approved at Wednesday’s meeting

The City of Vandalia has their Fiscal Year 2026 budget in place after holding their budget hearing prior to Wednesday’s Vandalia City Council.  City Administrator LaTisha Paslay says the FY ’26 budget is in the black by a good amount.

And, Paslay says having that cushion is a very good thing with some large projects coming up.

The total budget for FY ’26 for the City of Vandalia is $22,392,749 but that is deceiving as roughly 1/3rd of the budget alone is grant funding for the Water Treatment Plant.
