Doug Knebel sworn in as Mayor of Vandalia, presides over his first meeting

The City of Vandalia is under new leadership.

Monday night’s Vandalia City Council meeting was the official swearing in for those elected in the April 1st Election.  Outgoing Mayor Rick Gottman gave both City Clerk Carla Huhn and new Mayor Doug Knebel their oath.  Gottman says he wishes Knebel and the City of Vandalia nothing but the best.

At the start of the meeting, new Mayor Knebel says he appreciates this opportunity and believes he’s up to the challenge.

Also sworn in last night were Aldermen Steve Barker, Kenny Lewey and Andy Lester.  Alderman Mike Hobler was absent from the meeting.
