We are looking at more showers and storms today with severe storms possible for this afternoon and this evening.
Our weather forecast for today calls for showers and thunderstorms likely with a high of 71. Then, showers and storms for tonight with a low of 61. We’ll see southeast winds gust better than 20 miles per hour tonight.
Meanwhile, there is a risk of severe storms for this afternoon and this evening. The National Weather Service in St. Louis says a cold front returns northward this afternoon as a warm front, bringing moisture and instability back into the region. While some thunderstorms may occur in the morning, these have a low chance to be severe. Thunderstorms are expected to redevelop and move into the region during the evening hours. While widespread severe storms are not expected, a few
could become severe. Damaging winds is the primary threat, although large hail and perhaps a brief tornado are also possible.
