
Lola Florella Devall, 85, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at her home in Vandalia, IL, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born February 29, 1940, in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Wayne & Edna (Hamilton) Kelly. She married Virgil Devall on November 8, 1964, in Bingham, IL. They celebrated 39 loving years of marriage before he passed away on June 22, 2003. She worked for 20+ years at Owens Brockway, where she ultimately retired. Lola was a kind-hearted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed going on trips and would never turn down an offer to travel somewhere new. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her two granddaughters. She also loved her cat, Jay Jay, who was her companion for the last 15 years. Above all else, Lola was a devoted Christian. She was bold in her faith, always willing to share the good news of the Lord with others. Her kindness and compassion for the world and those around her is what her family will remember most about her.
She is survived by her Sons – Kelly Devall of Vandalia, IL, and Jeff Devall & wife Sandy; Granddaughters – Baylie Devall and Kassidy Devall, all of Patoka, IL; and several beloved Nieces & Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Parents; Husband; Sister and Brother-In-Law – Eloise & Bill Dothager; and Sister – Norma Kelly.
Services will be held Friday, March 14, 2025, at the First Baptist Church, Mulberry Grove, IL. The visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with the service immediately following. Pastor Joe Lawson will be officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL. Memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church, Mulberry Grove, IL.
