CHBC took an early lead over South Central and held on to it to pick up a 62 to 48 win in National Trail Conference action on Tuesday night. A 15-6 first quarter run put the Bobcats out in front of the Cougars early on, but an 18-14 run by South Central would close the CHBC lead down to 29-24 at halftime. The Bobcats got a few of those points back in the third quarter, outscoring the Cougars 16-13 in the frame for a 45-37 lead to end the quarter. A 17-11 run in the fourth quarter would allow CHBC to pull away for the 62-48 win. CHBC improves to 11-19 overall on the season and wraps up NTC play at 1-7. They will play their final regular season game and final Egyptian Illini Conference game on Thursday at Ramsey. South Central drops to 2-25 overall on the season and finishes NTC play at 0-8. They will wrap up their regular season tonight at Wayne City.
