
A Vandalia woman has been charged with Criminal Damage to Property in Fayette County Court for allegedly cutting off her ankle monitor.
36 year old Rose A. Woolsey is charged with Criminal Damage to Government Supported Property, which is a Class 3 Felony. Information on the charge says that Woolsey is alleged to have “knowingly damaged, without the consent of the State of Illinois, government supported property, being a pretrial services GPS ankle monitor.” Woolsey is also charged with Resisting, which is a Class A Misdemeanor, for allegedly refusing to obey orders and pulling away from a Vandalia Police Officer.
On Wednesday in Fayette County Court, an attorney was appointed for Woolsey and the pre-trial release revocation hearing was entered. Woolsey’s first appearance with counsel on the charge is set for February 25th at 10 am.
