News Release from FNB Community Bank—-
The FNB Community Bank recently announced the addition of Taylor Townsend as Assistant Financial Officer.
“We are very pleased to have Taylor join our staff in the accounting and financial operations at The FNB Community Bank,” stated Steve Ainscough, Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer. “Her education and experience in the field of accounting will be a welcome addition as we move forward.”
Townsend is a 2017 graduate from Highland High School. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from SIUE in 2020 and a year later received her Master’s degree in Accountancy. Her career in accounting started in 2020, as staff accountant at Scheffel Boyle CPAs. Townsend was then promoted from staff accountant to semi-senior accountant in 2021, then from semi-senior accountant to senior accountant in 2022.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to start the next part of my career at The FNB Community Bank,” commented Townsend. “I hope to use my accounting knowledge and public accounting experience to contribute to the team and to our customers.”
Taylor brings great experience with her from years of work in public accounting. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, especially with their nine-month-old daughter, who Townsend assures keeps them very busy. She also enjoys traveling, watching sports, and playing sand volleyball in her free time.
Townsend will be joining The FNB Community Bank’s Vandalia branch, where she will be working alongside Steve Ainscough in the Financial Department.
