News Release from SBL Fayette County Hospital–
The new Sarah Bush Lincoln Fayette County Hospital Emergency Department entrance will open to the public at 6 am on Monday, December 2.
The new Emergency Department entrance is accompanied by space inside that includes a waiting room, registration area and triage room.
Marci Barth, SBL FCH’s Chief Nursing Officer, said the entrance is beneficial for people who need emergency care.
“People seeking emergency care need attention right away, and this entrance will allow us to better help people in our community,” she said. “Prior to this new emergency entrance, all patients seeking care, emergent and non-emergent, entered our hospital through the main entrance. Our new space and entrance will improve the flow for our emergency patients.”
