CHBC girls basketball outscored Ramsey in the first quarter and would use it to hold off the Rams in a 43-31 win as the two teams opened up play in the CHBC Girls Thanksgiving Tournament on Tuesday evening. The Lady Bobcats went on a 12-4 run early to take an eight point lead, but an 8-7 second quarter run by the Lady Rams would cut it to seven points with CHBC leading Ramsey 19-12 at halftime. The second half would be a close on, but CHBC outscored Ramsey 24-19 in the half to extend their lead and close out the 43-31 win. CHBC improves to 2-2 on the season and starts pool play at 1-0. Ramsey falls to 0-3 on the season and 0-1 to begin pool play. The tournament continues on Friday as each team will have a double day. CHBC will play South Central at Noon in the Cowden-Herrick High School gym and will take on Cumberland in the Jr. High gym at 5:30pm. Ramsey will play Cumberland at 1:30pm in the High School gym and then will face South Central at 4:00pm in the Jr. High gym.
