(Monticello, IL) — The Secretary of State’s office in Monticello is closed temporarily after an accident. Sunday afternoon, a driver crashed into the building on Bear Lane. According to a police report, the 34-year-old driver was practicing driving in the parking lot when they accidentally hit the gas and not the brake. No one was injured in the crash.
