Ramsey girls basketball put up a good fight, but fell to Macon Meridian 52-35 in their home opener on Thursday night. With the Hawks coming in at 1-1 on the season after a close two point loss to a good ALAH team and then getting a dominating 60-point win over Okaw Valley, Ramsey had a tough test with the game. The Lady Rams would hang with Meridian, but the Hawks were able to pull away as Ramsey was handed the 17-point loss. One player finished in double digit scoring for the Lady Rams as Jenni Mezo finished with 11 points and two players hit double digit rebounding in the game as Kelsey Hayes grabbed 13 boards and Daisy Allen had 11 rebounds. The Lady Rams will look to rebound from their 0-2 start when they begin play in the CHBC Girls Thanksgiving Tournament on Tuesday. They open up against host CHBC at 4:00pm in their very first game of the tournament.
